Bridges

29th Aug 2020

Room 4 enjoyed their week back completing lots of fun activities relating to bridges. We used different construction materials and also our challenge outdoors was to create a bridge over a puddle (or any object) that we could cross over. This encouraged team work, communication skills, problem solving etc and we loved it.

We also visited bridges in our local area and researched information about them. We went  to Moyola bridge and learned it was 224 years years old and used to be called Dawson’s Bridge. Then on Friday we went to the new bridge in Castledawson. It is only a few months old. We discovered lots of differences in the bridges eg materials and their purpose etc.

We had a great week and loved being back seeing all our friends ♥️
