P1 have been enjoying exploring the outdoors during our “Welly Wednesday” play sessions on “Wellness Wednesday.”The children have been very enthusiastic about playing in the mud kitchen preparing food and extending their role play using the car and boat. They loved our fairy garden. Lots of fun was had creating patterns using chalk and removing these with paintbrushes and water. As part of our learning “All About Me” we have been creating landscapes for nursery rhyme characters, building walls for Humpty Dumpty and investigating how Incy Spider climbed the water spout. We all appreciate the value of playing outdoors in promoting wellness.
