Our first wellbeing day of this year was enjoyed by all in Room 4 today. We started the day as we usually do by sharing our feelings and then we spent a few minutes thinking about what we are thankful for in our lives. We know that happiness begins with gratitude so this was a lovely positive start to our day.
we then continued with our chocolate factory designs where we planned out the different rooms, how they would look, their features and what would be made in each. We are enjoying our class novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory so everyone had great ideas prompted by what we have read so far. 🍫🍬🍭
As tomorrow is European Day of Languages we learned a little bit about how to say Hello in 10 different languages. We practiced these and matched the countries to the flags. I wonder how many we will remember in a few days time? 😊
After break we were away for our weekly swimming lesson which just left time for a couple of quick class games before lunch and then in the afternoon we brought our factory designs to life using Minecraft during our build challenge. A wellbeing day wouldn’t be complete without a little sweet treat so hot chocolate and marshmallows was on offer in the afternoon just before home time. A lovely day with lots of opportunities to work together and to do fun practical things 🤩
