Today we enjoyed our first wellbeing day of the year as we celebrated European Day of Languages. The day started with PDMU as the boys and girls explored the qualities of a good friend and made some lovely friendship cards. They then learned about the country of Italy: its location, famous landmarks, cuisine and traditions before taking part in a scavenger hunt which encouraged them to find Italian phrases to match the English. The class also had the opportunity to learn some new languages with a little taster of French, German and Russian. In the afternoon they completed their solar system mobiles and finished the day with a Knex challenge. A great day of learning about different countries and enjoying a variety of activities and experiences with our friends.
