Room 5 had a wonderful travelling on Translink this morning!
Because we have been learning about timetables (bus and train), we wanted to make our learning real and understand how it applied to real life.
The children planned the route considering times, bus numbers and train times, whether the journey was going to be direct, our return journey etc. So this morning we set off from Castledawson Main Street and took the bus to Antrim Bus Centre. This was also the train station so we took the train from Antrim to Ballymena and then caught the bus home to Castledawson again!
A lot of timetables are digital now but we could still read them. We learnt about which bus/ train would get us where we needed to be at certain times and working out the different platforms at the station.
