To say we had the best day at the Titanic Centre would be an understatement.
We learnt so much about the Titanic and her sister ships and it was great to experience artefacts, costumes and explore exhibits to make our learning more real.
We started off exploring the SS Nomadic and discovering what it was used for as well experiencing first hand what the different areas of the ship were like.
We then continued to participate in a ‘Solve the Mystery’ workshop. Here we had to use the clues provided for us to work out who the passengers were on board.
Finally, we had the most wonderful tour guide who took us round the Titabic exhibition. We learnt everything from Belfast at the time when the Titanic was built, how long it took to build the titanic and materials used, the launch, the maiden voyage and then the fateful night. We took a ride through the shipyard and then found out how things have changed in ship safety as a result of the disaster.
A really amazing day full of wonderful experiences and such a wide variety of activities 🚢🚢
