The Right to Education

During assembly this week, our Rights Respecting Ambassadors acted out a true story from the 1990s about a female teacher in Afghanistan who was not allowed to teach anymore and girls were not allowed to go to school. This teacher was called Habiba and she set up a secret school and children had to risk government punishment by attending. This taught us and made us aware that governments in other countries are taking away children’s rights to education. We are so thankful for our school and teachers ⭐️
