Let’s explore colour!
Today room 1 welcomed and were inspired by Roy a Sentinus Associate. Roy provided lots of fun activities linked to the story “The Day the Crayons Quit.” Each activity linked to colour and the children had fun predicting and observing what would happen during the practical activities. This was a great opportunity for them to work in groups and show their ability to work with others. Children had the opportunity to observe how colour is made up of lots of different colours using prisms, spinners and chromotography. Their creativity was explored creating animals using magnetic pieces, building ramps to test which car would travel furthest and through the use of magnetic tiles to make a new pencil case for the crayons. The children had lots of fun learning today developing their scientific knowledge.
