The boys and girls in Room 4 were delighted to have a visit from Noel Doyle on Friday afternoon. Noel told them about his efforts to raise money for the Bumbleance charity with his sponsored cycle and the release of his very own bee themed poetry book. Recently Noel had invited us to take part in a poetry competition he was running and it was brilliant to hear that two girls in our class had been chosen as the winners for their poem Bee Kind.
As it was very warm on Friday Noel surprised us all with ice lollies before sharing his story and reading a few extracts from his poetry book. He even convinced Mrs Nelson to do the maths rap!
He then finished off by presenting the two winners with a copy of his poetry book as well as very kindly donating a copy to us as a school. Thank you very much for taking the time to visit us Noel. We really appreciate it ❤️
