The Cold Lands

Welcome  to the “Cold Lands!” What a great introduction to our new learning theme. Over  the next month we will be exploring winter weather and the impact this has on people and animals here.We will then turn our attention to find out about animals living in arctic area. From this we should know that our actions to save energy and reduce, reuse and  recycle can make a difference globally to the environment.

Today we shared a big book text to help identify the seasons and used a music broadcast to listen to different  weather sounds which we might associate with each.

Outside we were lucky enough to have some wintry weather conditions which allowed us to use our senses to explore the cold and to build some small snowmen.
