Room 4 are enjoying a STEM activity relating to the sun this week. First of all we completed some sunshine dot painting during ART and then we created wee animals/ creatures using pipe cleaners and UV beads. On Friday we built a shelter for our creatures that protected them from the sun and tested our creations outside in the sun! If our creatures remained the same colour we were successful in protecting them. If they changed colour our shelter didn’t provide enough protection from the sun.
We are loving the opportunity to work with our friends, use our creative skills as well as our problem solving, decision making skills etc.
