Safer Internet Day
Room 1 explored some important messages about how to stay safe and show respect when gaming or using the internet. We shared a PowerPoint to get us thinking about when and how we use the internet. Following this we shared the story of Digiduck who learnt an important lesson about keeping and making safe passwords and always telling a grown up if you are unsure about anything you see when online. The children made their own masks and shared the online safety messages before taking their masks home to talk about online safety. Throughout the day we accessed iPads ensuring we stayed on the app or game we were directed to play to support our learning.
Learning about keeping safe online supports our Rights Respecting Work linking to:
Article 31 I have the right to relax and play
Article 19 I have the right to be protected from being hurt or badly treated.
