Safer Internet Day
Tuesday 9th February is Safer Internet Day.
In CPS we are celebrating this day by taking part in different activities to help us explore some of the dangers online and to develop the knowledge and skills to protect ourselves and stay safe.
P1 and P2 are learning about Digi Duck and how he reacts to seeing things he doesn't like online.
P3- P7 are taking part in a live lesson hosted by BBC which explores the theme of reliability. There is lots of information online but how do we know what is real and what we should trust?
We all spend so much time online now especially with remote learning and with trying to find ways to stay in touch with friends and family when we can't meet together in person so ensuring that children are staying safe online is extremely important.
There are lots of creative ideas and advice here for parents to help initiate those discussions with their children and also family activities and agreements which may be useful.
