Room 3 have been doing STEM activities this week as part of WAU, ICT and numeracy. We looked at the properties of materials and what causes them to float or sink - density, shape and buoyancy. The children predicted which materials would float, tested them and then made boats in groups and tested them outside in water. We learned how the materials, shape, and weight all impacted buoyancy. P4 also continued to develop their coding skills using Sphero linking with angles and degrees of turn.
