We were all pleased to see our friends again after Easter and with our chat about chicks and bunnies we used the story of “Peter Rabbit” to consider the different types of fruit and vegetables which can be grown. In our play we painted spring flowers found in our playground. We used the flowers in our mud kitchen cooking creating dandelion tea, soup and cakes. We explored watering systems and created Mr McGregor’s vegetable patch. In construction we made flower beds and outdoors used resources to create traps to catch Peter Rabbit. The children used iPads to draw images of Peter and outdoors collected vegetables just like the character Next week we will sow our own seeds and hopefully nurture these until they grow into food.
