Room 1 helped Percy and friends prepare for Christmas during play. We printed and painted to create cards and an advent calendar. Children decorated the tree and made paper chains and Christmas wreaths to decorate the hut. They carried out repairs and sawed wood to make sure there would be enough firewood for Christmas. Not to mention writing cards and wrapping presents. Santa and his friends visited the playhouse and the children had fun using dough to create Christmas trees and stars. The water tray provided lots of scope to explore length and use our counting skills to find decorations amongst the bubbles. While our own snow provided fun experiences for writing.
