We took our learning outside to work in groups. Our challenge was to build the tallest tower taking turns in a relay to select and add a brick to create our team’s tower. Three different types of brick were available for the children to use. The foam and plastic bricks were similar in size however the children quickly spotted that the wooden blocks were thinner. This promoted discussion about measure and counting skills were used discuss differences. It was a fun activity which required a lot of careful building to avoid a toppled tower!!
