P1 and P2 enjoyed their Sponsored Walk around Polepatrick. It was a beautiful day for a walk and we stopped several times to admire the changing colours of the leaves and identify those which stay green. The children were able to read the safety signs in the park which warned of deep water. We spotted bird boxes and had fun running through and throwing crispy dry leaves.
The children were able to recall why it was important to wear fluorescent clothing when out and about. We had a great walk and hopefully have raised lots of money for Save the Children and school funds. Thanks to our parent volunteers for joining us and making this outing possible.
