Numeracy
13th Nov 2018
P2 have been investigating what numbers together make 11. We began by exploring what a set of 11 looks like talking about the pattern we can create. Children were then challenged to find different ways to make 11 using counters. They worked in pairs to find and record 3 numbers which make 11 and we discussed how the easiest way to add these three numbers was to start with the biggest number and count on. Children have explored the number 12 using this investigative approach and will be finding the components of 13.
