Yesterday our P7 children had the best day at Magherafelt High School’s Taster Day.
To begin with they made fairy cakes in Home Economics, then discovered how to identify acids and alkalis using red cabbage and various liquids in the Science department.
Next, the children went to the Geography department where they learned all about the 7 continents and made a globe of the world using a balloon to demonstrate the position of the continents.
Afterwards, we went to the Drama department where the children had to identify the killer in a real life Cluedo mystery.
To finish, the children learned about statistics and how to create tally charts and use this to create bar charts using skittles.
