Today Room 1 helped to make white bread like Little Red Hen. We all had our part to play in baking the bread and observed the changes as the dry ingredients turned into a sticky dough as water was added. We had to wait for over an hour for the yeast to work and noted how the dough rose in the baking tin. We placed it in a hot oven and were able to share our bread later in the day. It smelt amazing and most of the class said they liked it!!
