P6/7 had a fabulous time at Ballygally learning about the forces of flight. We took part in a brilliant workshop where we investigated how things fly and designed and made our own kites. We then heard from Norman Surplus who currently holds 19 world records for being the first person to fly around the world in a gyrocopter. He had such an interesting story to tell and his photographs took us on a trip around the whole world. In the afternoon we met Biggles who told us about his adventures over 100 years ago. The best part was going to the beach to fly our kites. A really enjoyable day of learning and fun
