The children were excited to begin exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk in their play. They began by sowing seeds to grow their own beanstalks. The garden centre was a popular place to visit to get supplies for planting. We are using our knowledge of coins to help sort the Giant’s money in the water tray. Number skills are further demonstrated playing the Jack and the Beanstalk game. Our fine motor skills activity encourages children to find letter beans to make cvc words. At the writing corner we are creating wanted posters to help the Giant find Jack. Other areas will be added over the next week.
