Room 1 have had lots of fun exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children enjoyed their shopping experience at the Garden shop. In the water they filled and counted seeds into various sizes of pots and then created castles in the clouds. The dough table presented lots of opportunities to explore area using various sizes of cutters. At small world, stick puppets were used to retell and create new adventures for Jack. Number experiences were developed through games and fine motor skills as were blending skills.
Learning experiences extended outdoors digging and preparing the ground for planting our beanstalks, making food for a giant and creating music to soothe any giant. The children also used chalk to create images from the story and made shelters.
