We used our nursery rhyme to explore number and time today making the most of another beautiful morning outside. In class we recited the rhyme and then looked at pictures of the characters and objects from the rhyme. Outside we hunted for the images and together sorted the sets shown to match numerals 1 to 5. P2 recalled how this was displayed as a pictograph. The class then spilt into two groups with P2 creating outdoor clocks to make o'clock times. Meanwhile, P1 played a movement game which demonstrated their ability to complete agreed actions to match the pictures shown on cards (moon, cat, cow,dog and spoon). After this we focused on formation of number 1 using chalk and leaves to create the numeral. Super work everyone.🙂
