Room 5 boys and girls were busy as they discussed FairTrade products and where they came from earlier today. We had already reminded ourselves at a recent assembly about what FairTrade meant and so today we looked at some products on the shelves of our local supermarket and discussed their country of origin. Later in the afternoon we put our map skills to the test as we looked for these countries on the globe and worked out which products came from which country. We discovered many FairTrade products are sourced in countries near the Equator.
In between our activities we enjoyed some FairTrade hot chocolate/ chocolate treats. 🍫
