Room 1 have been exploring the importance of buying Fairtrade items. We enjoyed signing a song about Faritrade produce which helped us think about items we could buy. Children created Fairtrade puzzles and used their phonics to label items. We explored the long journey bananas make to get into our shop and now know how hard farmers need to work to grow this crop. We were sorry to hear that changes in climate could mean that in the future bananas may be scare. We are now thinking about how we can reduce waste and save energy to make a difference.
