We celebrated European day of Language on Tuesday 24th September.This was a non uniform day full of practical activities to help us develop an understanding that people in other parts of the world speak different languages. We watched video clips to help us learn colours in Italian and coloured our own unicorns using these colours. We listened to a story about boy whose peach tree spoke Italian and sowed our own seeds to take home. In play we used pasta to make jewellery, made dough for pizzas, created some famous landmarks, had food in our Italian cafe and explored spaghetti in our water tray. The day ended with a delicious gelato.
