Our exploration of toys continued in the run up to Christmas. The toy shop remained a popular choice to visit buying presents for friends. The children created Christmas pictures using cuisenaire and tap a shape. They used the 2Create a Story app to make their own Christmas pictures. At the craft table they decorated their own cracker shaped cards and wrote messages on them. We explored building with magnetic construction toys, sorted Christmas decorations for length and played number games. The small world area included festive decorations, Santa and his friends for imaginative play.
