In Room 2 we were exploring and investigating 3D shapes. Children were building models using 3D shapes and could name each shape along with identifying edges and vertices. Children in P3 were creating 3D shapes from cocktail sticks and mini marshmallows. They counted vertices and edges in each shape they made. We discussed shapes that would have been difficult to make, for example, a cylinder and sphere.
