P1 were introduced to the sounds “s” and “a” this week using Jolly Phonics stories and rhymes. Today we took our learning outside and enjoyed a sunny autumnal day. To begin we played a game running to the letter shape which matched the sound called. We then used autumn leaves to make the letters thinking carefully about formation. The children finished writing their own letters using chalk.
