An Autumn Walk
This week Room 1 were introduced to Percy the Park Keeper listening to the story “ After the Storm.” We could all relate to this story after witnessing the stormy weather last week. We put on our coats and boots and our special waterproof trousers funded by the Ernest Cook Trust and went out for a walk today to observe the trees growing in our school grounds. The children had fun looking for leaves of different colours, sizes and shapes. They searched for fruit and nuts on the ground and used their observational skills to find out which tree they came from. There was great excitement when we found an oak tree just like the one in our story.
