A day at the beach
Room 1 headed out on their coach trip to the seaside today. We left school and travelled over the Glenshane through Limavady and down to coast at Magilligan. There was plenty see on way from our high vantage point in the coach. We stopped at Magilligan Field Centre to meet Michael and Natalie our beach experts who we followed down to shore at Magilligan Point. It was a blustery day on the beach but we had fun looking for shells of different sizes and shapes. We used the shells to create our own letters, numbers and pictures on the sand. Back at the field centre we had lunch and some free play before it was time to return home. What a great day out in a week in which we celebrated Ocean Day and noted the impact of litter in our oceans. Thank you to all the staff at Magilligan Field Centre for sharing their knowledge of the beach and helping to make this a memorable school day.
