Room 1 enjoyed a variety of play experiences linked to autumn and the story of Percy the Park keeper. The children created beautiful autumn pictures using 2Create a Story app, they set up farms using Lego and small world resources. Children created conker runs in the sand tray and made cups of tea just like in the nursery rhyme. Autumn materials were used for printing in the dough and we printed we apples. We investigated different seeds found in fruit. Outside Welly Wednesday play involved lots of digging to find worms, helping Incy Spider in the water tray and some autumn cakes linked to the nursery rhyme “Pat A Cake”. Loose parts were available for pattern making or exploring sound and the trikes were as popular as ever.😊
