P1 enjoyed dressing up as their favourite Superhero today to promote Translinks Active Travel/ Big Pedal events. We are trying to walk,scoot or cycle to school instead of taking the car. Children are recording their efforts and there are prizes up for grabs!!
On Friday the whole school will be dressed as Superheroes. P1-3 will be taking the message to Magherafelt on board an Ulsterbus; which although not an active form of transport it is certainly more environmentally friendly than travelling yourself by car.
In class we discussed:
Who are our favourite Superheroes?
What are their super powers ?
Which super powers would we like?
We decided that we would all like to be kind and helpful.
The children sorted themselves into groups according to their Superhero costumes.
