Our next traditional story was the Little Red Hen. In this story we learned how the Little Red Hen planted the seed, cut the wheat and took the wheat to the mill to be made into flour. We wondered how the flour change into bread.
During play we made play dough and observed how the dry ingredients changed as liquid was added. We had fun kneading the dough and making it into “bread.” This we cooked to create bread for our shop.
We observed lots of change during this process.
